Set of 3 Baskets in different sizes. Baskets are made of 100% vegetal fibers from the bush in Santiago del Estero. The materials are dried for three to four days before the knitting process begins. Rural working women dye and cook the straw, and then knit the baskets using spiral, coil, and fine knitting techniques. Details are embroidered with unquillo, dyed or toasted chala (corn husks) and palm leaves. Baskets are the result of 12 hours of labor (Small size), 18 hours of labor (Medium size) and 30 hours of labor (Large size). Santiago Ancestral fuses ancient crafts and techniques with original design.
